I have never understood all the vegetarian pretend products I see in the shops.

Pretend ham, pretend caviar, pretend BBQ Grill Ribs, pretend minced meat.

Why the need to pretend to want ham when there are so many great and genuine veggie produce around?

Is it a social thing?
That you feel akward going to a friends BBQ-Party without bringing pretend-hamburgers?

Or is it the ham-eating people who once in a while choose the vegetarian kind because it might be healthier?

Could it be the industri who saw a marked gap and we, the consumers, just bought into it?

Is there really a need for these products and if yes, couldn`t we just have real labels?
