2016 St. Moritz Gourmet Festival «Yokoso Nippon» – a cordial welcome to Japan!

The year has just started and already we`re in for a gourmet festival treat in Switzerland. The St. Moritz Gourmet Festival in the Upper Engadine in the Swiss canton of Grisons was founded, as the first festival of its kind, by Reto Mathis and launched in 1994. It counts for one of the leading gourmet festivals in Europe. Each year about 3,500 guests take part in the various events.

This years theme will be Japanese cuisine.
Japanese cuisine offers an incredibly rich culinary variety that can be discovered in the Upper Engadine from 25th to 29th January! During this week, Japanese master chefs will surprise with exceptional and pleasurable experiences, alongside the local master chefs. With over 40 events to chose from,there should be something for everybody. What about High Alpine Sushi, Chocolate CultJapanese tea ceremonyIllustrious kitchen whisperingJapanese art of cookery and Italian art of wineGourmet Safari or Kitchen Party. Just to mention a few things from the weeks program. The price for attending the events vary from 35,- chf to 400,- chf.
