On a cold winter day this meal will warm your body and soul.
Invite friends over after a day of skiing. Both young and old will love a bowl of this chili.

I recently learned that real Texas chili don`t have beans in it, but I love the beans and think I`ll keep them. ;)

This recipe serves 10 – yes, do invite people over. ;)

What you need:

* 10 shallots
* 1 kg ( 2.2 lb) minced meat
* 4 tbsp. olive oil
* 2 dl (7 oz)  stock (beef)
* 20 dl (68 oz) canned tomatoes
* 800 g (1,7 lb) kidney beans
* 2 cans of corn
* 4 red pepper bells
* 1 tbsp. chili powder
* Salt & pepper, to taste.

What you do:

Clean and cut the onions into thin wedges (How to cut onions into wedges).
Fry onions in a big heated frying pan with a little oil. Add the minced meat and let it get brown before adding the tomatoes.
Stir inn the stock and let it all simmer under lid for about 45 minutes.
Add the beans, corn and cleaned+cut into smaller pieces pepper bells. Cook for about 10 minutes. Then to taste salt, pepper and chili powder.
Serve with walnut or rye bread.
